Why choose Reunion Coordinator? Reunion Coordinator's volume of business allow us to negotiate the terms for your reunion weekend activities at a substantially lower rate than you can on your own. Couple this with the fact that we'll build your class a custom reunion website, a Facebook group, community and event pages, an online registration page accepting all major credit cards, an online class roster tool, a private-label hotel booking engine with rates lower than the hotel direct or other online travel agencies, design and create name badges, offer trophies and other awards for various events, organize door prizes, hire a professional DJ service, provide a professional photographer including a free electronic versions of the photos taken at the event, put on an epic celebrity feeling event and so much more. We also have various price points (starting as low as $19.95 per person) that can meet challenging economic times. No other reunion planning service even comes close to the level of service we provide.
Why shouldn't we do it ourselves? Many people ask us why can't they just do it themselves by meeting at a bar somewhere for free? You certainly can, but like the old adage says "you get what you pay for". Reunions at a bar typically have much lower participation, are not very well organized, don't provide a private venue, don't provide a professional DJ, don't provide a professional photographer, and don't provide name badges to help people remember classmates from the past. With ticket prices starting around $20. per person, a reunion with the help of our service provides everything needed to make it a memorable affair.
Why do we need to use a company to help us plan our reunion? The problem with planning a reunion by yourself without the help of an experienced coordinator is "you don't know what you don't know". Since our company has put on many reunions, our experience helps you avoid common mistakes and makes the process much easier. Besides, our experience and buying power allows you to use our services free of charge, so why wouldn't you want to use a professional?
Is there a set-up fee? Our planning services are completely free of charge to the reunion committee and their classmates.
If planning services are free, how does Reunion Coordinator survive? The money we receive to pay for our services is a direct result of our negotiations with the various venues we contract with. Because of our large buying power, the ticket price you pay is generally less than if you negotiated with the venues yourself. And, if you choose to do it yourself, you'll have to sign contracts with attrition fees making you responsible for the success or failure of the event. You'll also then need to create a web page, manage all social media, create a bank account to process checks or create a merchant account to process credit cards, contract with a company that produces badges, create awards, pay for a professional DJ and professional photographer....and the list goes on and on.
How do I get involved? We'd love for you to help out. The hard work of negotiating contracts, paying deposits, coordinating available dates and the like are already being handled. But, the fun stuff like spreading the word about the reunion to classmates, selecting an MC for the event, greeting classmates as they show up for the main event and giving them their name badge are just some of the examples of the things our committee members (you) can help with. And, as our way of saying thanks for being a team player, we offer our volunteer committee members very "special" pricing on reunion tickets (in addition to your classmates admiration of course).
